A pair of late Victorian diamond and enamel set butterfly brooches

A pair of late Victorian diamond and enamel set butterfly brooches, c.1895,

the two graduated butterflies with polychrome enamel wings in shades of royal blue, red and black with old European cut diamonds, spots and a line of old Swiss cut diamonds to the wings. A textured thorax and abdomen with ruby set antennae with later brooch fittings, 36 x 22mm and 29 x 17mm (2)
