Picnic At The Petite Prom 2023

Picnic At The Petite Prom 2023

Sworders is once again proud to be sponsoring an evening of musical entertainment in a beautiful garden setting in Much Hadham.

2 May 2023

Sue Wetherall and Emily Estelle first started Picnic at the Petite Prom in 2017, whilst John Wetherall was under the care of the Isabel Hospice. As a way of saying thank you for all of the wonderful support, they wanted to hold an event to raise much-needed funds for the charity with which Sue has been involved for many years.

The concerts proved to be very successful and some 300 people came each night. Sadly and after the loss of John in 2018, Sue and Emily went on to organise another Petite Prom concert in 2021, which once again proved to be a huge success. To date they have raised over £34,000, so due to popular demand, here they are organising another event!

Set under the stars in a picturesque Hadham garden, come and join them for a magical evening of live music and song that take you to some of the greatest Movies. Bring a picnic and chair and sit back and enjoy performances from West End artists performing an array of songs from films such as James Bond, A Star is Born, Out of Africa, Grease and many more!

Isabel Hospice has been providing free palliative care to its patients and their families since 1982. We provide support and care to people in eastern Hertfordshire who are affected by life-limiting illnesses through our Hospice at Home, In-Patient Unit, Community Team, Living Well with Isabel programme and our Family and Bereavement support service.

Our clinical teams work closely with other healthcare providers in the area, including care homes, hospitals and GP surgeries, improving access to our services and sharing their knowledge and expertise.

We have expanded our service to support more people with a non-cancer diagnosis, now on average 41% of our patients. Our Living Well programme has also allowed us to reach people much earlier in their diagnosis, supporting them to manage the challenges of living with serious illness and long term conditions through a range of interventions and holistic therapies.

All of our services are free of charge to those who need them, but they are not without cost, meaning we must raise £7 million every year to guarantee the future of our care.

We rely heavily on donations from our community, as well as income from fundraising events and from our 16 shops.

Tickets are only £30 each and are restricted to 300 per show on 14th & 15th July so book early to avoid disappointment!
