Provenance: From the artist's studio and estate, and then passed to the Fry Art Gallery in 2010 for sale;
purchased by the current owner from the Fry Art Gallery, Saffron Walden.
These works were preparatory sketches for the front cover illustration of 'Herefordshire and Radnorshire' by Harry Soan, Shell-Mex and BP Limited, 1963.

Condition Report
Framed: 29.5 x 34cm
Light time staining with creasing to the top edges of both. Both works have some small paint marks but this is presumed to be original rather than an issue with condition, please see images. The titled work has a small brown spot in the upper left corner. The untitled study has some small brown speckles to the sky and in the bottom right corner.
