This is an example of a 'trade generator', which appeared in the 1950s to draw a crowd in a bar or cafe. It would traditionally have been bolted to a countertop and customers would bet on who had the strongest grip.

Repair and restoration. Some small knocks and dents throughout. Some slightly misshapen areas. Mechanism does not appear fully functional. Some staining/ discolouration to the dial. Key present and lock functional. Please refer to 'before and after' photos for illustration of work carried out.
