The Estate of Sir Jack & Lady Baer
The Homes & Interiors department is delighted to offer a selection of silver, furniture and works of art from the estate of Sir Jack Baer and his wife Diana.
Sir Jack Mervyn Frank Baer (1924-2016) was a British art dealer, who built Hazlitt, Gooden & Fox into a world-class concern. He is remembered as one of the most enduringly successful and well-regarded London picture dealers of his generation.
The core collection comes from 9 Phillimore Terrace, the Kensington house where Jack and Diana Baer lived for more than 50 years.
The Homes & Interiors sale follows on from the success of the Baer collection featured in our Autumn sales; including the 13 & 14th September Fine Interiors sale, which saw group of 17th century Florentine pietra dura panels sold for a staggering £169,000 (including fees) and the 27th September Old Masters sale.
Sold for £550
