Condition Report
The dial 24cm (approx. 9 1/2 inches). The hood opening is approx. 24 x 24 cm
The entire movement appears to be associated, given that Joseph Warren of Ixworth died in 1875. The piece having come directly from Warren's collection, it is likely that he was responsible for its restoration. There is a printout to the interior of the door with further comments to this effect. The hood appears to have had a fair amount of attention, with several areas of replacement and alteration, if not being entirely associated. Splits, knocks, losses and small areas of repair to veneer of trunk. Glass possibly replaced. Lacking feet. Base moulding appears altered. Door hinges and lock later. Ticks and strikes when wound, however we are unable to guarantee that this represents full working order. We would recommend having it inspected by a professional.

The first Fine Interiors catalogue of the year is always particularly special for us, with the prospect of another twelve months of working with beautiful pieces of furniture and works of art, as well as having the opportunity to share our enthusiasm with the people behind the objects.
Included in this sale are nearly five hundred stylish lots representing the breadth of the decorative arts from the last five hundred years, as well as the appetite for incorporating them into a contemporary interior in order to create a welcoming environment. This notion is clearly exemplified in three private collections from town and country that we are privileged to be able to offer - those of the Late John Scott-Oldfield, Mrs Althea Lloyd and Sir John Craven.
