Two Victorian 18ct gold rings

Two Victorian 18ct gold rings,
comprising a ruby ring, with round mixed cut rubies, grain set, three split pearls deficient, to a plain flat section shank, Birmingham 1891, head 4.6mm wide, and a diamond ring, with swiss cut and eight cut diamonds, centre setting vacant, to shoulders with carved scroll decoration to a plain tapered shank, Birmingham 1898, head 5.4mm wide, 4.77g total (2)

Condition Report

Maker's mark WGM, EV.
Ruby ring split pearls deficient, some heavily worn split pearl remnants left with glue to settings. Solder join visible with excess solder to one side. One ruby setting showing wear. Possibly a later replacement ruby due to cut. Shank oval in shape, finger size approximate.
Diamond ring has one setting vacant. Shoulder cracked through beginning of hallmark, partial repair visible. Solder join with porosity visible at base of shank.
Marks/scratches to mounts.

If you would like to bid by telephone please contact our team prior to the auction with your details of the lots you are interested in and your full name, address, telephone number(s) and email address. Once our team have entered your bid request you will receive an email confirmation. We will contact you during the sale and one of our team will bid live with you over the phone.

Please note that we normally offer this service for lots with an estimate of £500 or higher and all telephone bid requests must be received by close of business the day before the auction.
