A small collection of lockets,
comprising a gold circular locket, stamped 9ct, tested as approximately 9ct gold, 33mm long, a gold eight row memorial plaque, engraved verso 'Rich Walmesley Esq. died 12 Nov 1790 aged 38', 17mm x 29mm, a 15ct gold heart locket pendant, 25mm long, Chester 1898, a gilt metal pinchbeck champlevé enamel memorial locket, 44mm long, and a base metal oval memorial locket, 48mm long,
together with a small group of pocket and fob watches,
comprising a 9ct gold open faced top wind fob watch, 28mm diameter, with floral champlevé enamel detail to the back case, a hand engraved gilt dial, black Roman numerals, blued spade and single swell hands, case no. 302757, London import hallmark 1901, 40mm long, a silver open faced key wind pocket watch, case no. 56454, silver cuvette, stamped '0,935', tested as approximately sterling silver, and a base metal open faced top wind pocket watch, a white dial signed 'Everite H. Samuel Manchester', black Roman numerals and subsidiary seconds dial, plain cuvette, case no. 2834252

Circular locket showing marks and scratches.
Gold memorial plaque showing one small section of hair slightly loose inside frame. Scratches to glass. Tarnish. Marks and scratches.
15ct gold heart locket showing a large dent to the back. Locket secures. Marks and scratches. Maker's mark heart locket CS*FS.
Pinchbeck enamel locket enamel showing chips, cracks and losses. Hinged compartment secures. Wear to gilt surfaces. Tarnish. Marks and scratches.
Base metal oval locket, marks and scratches, tarnish.

Gold fob watch ticks briefly upon being fully wound then stops. Not currently running. Case showing indentation and cracking just above hinge. A few soft solder repairs to case, with excess solder visible. Small dent to gold cuvette. Front case secures loosely. Tarnish. Marks and scratches.
Silver open faced pocket watch, not currently running. Winding arbour worn, cuvette dented. Case secures. Tarnished. Marks and scratches.
Base metal open faced pocket watch not currently running. Showing dents to case, tarnish, marks and scratches.

 

IN PERSON

ABSENTEE BIDDING

If you cannot attend the auction in person we can bid on your behalf. You can leave an absentee bid on our website.

The amount you bid should be your maximum bid. We will bid up to that limit for you, and remember you may end up paying less than your limit, depending on other bidding on the day.

You can leave an absentee bid up to half an hour before the start of any sale. Please note when we receive two or more absentee bids for the same amount, the first bid received will be the one taken.

Once our team have entered your bid request you will receive an email confirmation. We will contact you during the sale and one of our team will bid live with you over the phone.

Please note that we normally offer this service for lots with an estimate of £500 or higher and all telephone bid requests must be received by close of business the day before the auction.
