We are delighted to again be exhibiting at the 2024 Historic Buildings, Parks and Gardens Event on Tuesday 12 November, 9.00am - 5.00pm.
24 October 2024
This year’s Historic Buildings, Parks and Gardens Event will take place on Tuesday 12 November and, as usual, will run alongside the Historic Houses Annual General Meeting.
This year’s AGM is the pinnacle of a number of events held in 2024 to celebrate the 50th anniversary of the Association’s founding. Furthermore, it is also 50 years since the exhibition at the Victoria and Albert Museum entitled ‘Destruction of the Country House’ which brought the fate of Country Houses to the attention of the wider population. The Historic Houses National AGM will take the opportunity to discuss the resurgence in the fortunes of houses over the last 50 years and to contemplate what the next 50 years might hold.
Free entry to the HBPGE is available to everyone in the historic buildings, landscape conservation and heritage sectors; owners, guardians, volunteers involved with historic buildings, parks, gardens and landscapes. A free SPAB advice surgery will add to an already interesting day.
Martha Cobbold, President of Historic Houses will give an address, and visitors will hear from a variety of guest speakers throughout the day, together with the opportunity to listen to short talks and live demonstrations given by experts about practical skills and conservation techniques at the HBPGE.
Please do come and visit us at stand F45. Register your attendance here.
